A former Bank of Montreal branch at 2 Queen Street East will become Museum of Toronto’s Permanent home, with a Spring 2027 opening planned. Supported by a $35 million gift from philanthropists Diane Blake and Stephen Smith, the project will see Toronto architecture firm Superkül adapt the downtown banking space into a venue dedicated to the city’s histories.
